Ilkka Hiidenheimo
Founder, CEO
Ilkka Hiidenheimo (born 1960) is the founder of Stonesoft and has worked as the CEO of the company since 2004. From 1990 to 2004 he worked as the Chief Technology Officer of Stonesoft. Before Stonesoft he worked from 1989 to 1990 as a consultant at Oracle Finland Oy and served as system designer and product manager at Tekla Oy during the period from 1985 to 1989.
Hiidenheimo is a member of the Board of Directors of Stonesoft Corporation and has also served as chairman of the board from 1990 to 1998. He is a member of the Board of Directors also in Teos Oy and Hiidenkivi Investment Oy.
Saara Laine
Senior Vice President & General Counsel, Legal/Business Support and Human Resources
Saara Laine (born 1954) has served as Director of Legal Affairs of Stonesoft since the beginning of 2000. Previously she was employed by Castrén & Snellman Attorneys at Law (1998-2000) and prior to this she served as lawyer, director of legal affairs and member of the Executive Board and Board of Directors of IBM Oy in Finland and IBM's EMEA headquarters in Paris, France (1990-1998).
Laine has a Master of Law degree. Her responsibilities at Stonesoft are legal/business support and human resources.
Mika Jalava
CTO
Mika Jalava (born 1968) has worked at Stonesoft since 1997. He worked in customer support,
presales and consulting in 1997-1999 and was located at the Stonesoft office in Atlanta in
1998-1999. After returning to Finland in 1999, he became responsible for establishing and leading
the Stonesoft Competence Center. In 2003-2007 Mr. Jalava served as the manager of the Stonesoft
Support team and since summer 2006 he was responsible for the Product Management as the Director,
Technical Services.
Before his career at Stonesoft, Mr. Jalava has worked in the Laboratory of Water Resources Research in Helsinki University of Technology, built networks and Internet connections for several schools and institutes and taught information technology courses at Porvoo Commercial College.

Mikael Nyberg
CFO
Mikael Nyberg (born 1960) has served as Chief Financial Officer of Stonesoft since August 3rd, 2004. Before joining Stonesoft he worked seven years for the global IT distributor Tech Data Corporation. During 1997 -2001, he held various positions in Tech Data Finland and in 2001-2003 he served as Managing Director, Back Office in Tech Data International in Switzerland. From 1985 to 1997 he worked in Esso Corporation in various positions.
Nyberg has Master of Science, Business Administration and Master of Science, Engineering degrees. His areas of responsibility at Stonesoft are finance, IT and order services.
Juha Kivikoski
Vice President, Europe and Partnerships
Juha Kivikoski (born 1970) serves as Vice President, Europe and global partnerships. He joined Stonesoft as Vice President, Marketing year 2004. Before joining Stonesoft he worked at Cisco Systems Finland in various sales and marketing management positions and as a member of the executive management in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Before Cisco Systems he worked as Director, Product Marketing for Tech Data/Computer 2000 in Finland, Baltic countries and Russia.
Kivikoski has Master of Social Sciences degree in International Economics from Helsinki University.
Kim Fagernäs
Vice President, APAC and Emerging Markets
Kim Fagernäs (born 1954) serves as Vice President, Sales APAC and emerging markets. Before joining Stonesoft as Vice President, Nordic in 2004, he worked in Teleste for 15 years in various management and sales management positions in and outside Finland. From 1997 to 2004 he served Vice President Sales in Teleste Broadband Cable Access and from 1995 to 1997 as Sales Director Nordic in Teleste Access.
Klaus Majewski
Vice President, MarketingKlaus Majewski (born 1967) joined Stonesoft in 1999 and was appointed VP of Marketing in May 2008. He has previously worked as Security Specialist, Senior Security Consultant, Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager at Stonesoft. From 2001 to 2005 he was located at the Stonesoft office in Atlanta, United States, and managed the Common Criteria evaluation for StoneGate products.
Before his career at Stonesoft, Mr. Majewski has worked as a Security Consultant at IBM Finland.
Mr. Majewski holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Helsinki University of Technology.
