For Stonesoft Customers New Daylight Savings Times
Requirements are Virtually Headache-Free
For customers of Stonesoft it is easier than ever to
update their StoneGate appliances to support the upcoming changes in the way Daylight Savings Time
(DST) is observed.
On Sunday March 11, 2007 a significant change was marked in the way DST is observed in the
U.S. and Canada. According to an energy bill passed by Congress in 2005, beginning in 2007
DST will start on the second Sunday of March and end on the first Sunday in November – extending
DST for about a month longer than in previous years.
For organizations that must apply patches and updates to their networks, March 11 is
looming. Stonesoft’s customers can rest easy knowing that their StoneGate Firewall/VPN and
Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) appliances are ready to handle the changes required to support
DST.
