The District Court Dismissed All Charges Against Stonesoft in a Suspected Delay of a Profit Warning in February 2001

STONESOFT CORP. STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 15.11.2006

The District Court of Helsinki today ruled in favor of Stonesoft Corp. in the legal proceedings concerning suspected delay of Stonesoft’s profit warning in February 2001, dismissing all charges against Stonesoft, the directors of its year 2000 Board of Directors and its former CEO.

The District Court found it established that the persons belonging to Stonesoft’s statutory organs had not, by their actions, made themselves guilty of gross negligence. Accordingly, the District Court found ungrounded District Prosecutor Malla Sunell's claim that a fine amounting to EUR 50 000 should be imposed on Stonesoft.

According to the District Court's decision, the state is obligated to pay the legal expenses of Stonesoft.
