Stonesoft Corporation Stock Exchange Release 1 July, 2010 at 1.40 p.m.
Stonesoft expects the net sales for the second quarter of 2010 to decline by about 15% compared to
the corresponding period in the previous year and expects the operating result to be negative.
The net sales and operating result have been affected by the postponement of customers’
purchase decisions while economic uncertainty has increased. In addition, the deliveries of some
large orders have moved to the third quarter due to the time required by the delivery process. Also
some of the received orders have not been deliverable during the second quarter because of delivery
difficulties of the new appliances.
"Stonesoft has continued to invest in new, significant customer accounts and business
opportunities in a long-standing way. The growth of net sales and operating result brought by these
will become visible during the second half of the year. The sales pipeline of the second half of
the year 2010 is strong and has developed positively”, said Ilkka Hiidenheimo, CEO of Stonesoft.
Stonesoft maintains its full year estimate regarding the net sales and operating result for
now and still expects its net sales to grow from the previous year’s level and the result to be
positive.
Stonesoft’s Interim Report for the second quarter of 2010 will be published on 13 August
2010.
