StoneGate SSL VPN receives VPNC (Virtual Private Network Consortium) certification
Certification Assures Standard Compliance and Interoperability
Atlanta – November 27, 2007 – Stonesoft, an innovative provider of integrated network security and resilient connectivity solutions, announced its StoneGate SSL VPN solution has received interoperability certification from the Virtual Private Network Consortium (VPNC), the international trade association for manufacturers in the VPN (Virtual Private Network) market. The certification assures that the StoneGate SSL VPN solution meets VPNC’s security criteria and standards and interoperates correctly with other technologies and products.
During the VPNC certification process, StoneGate SSL VPN proved to be interoperable with other technologies and products. To achieve certification, the product was tested for its interoperability in several categories, including SSL Portal, SSL Exchange, SSL Firefox, SSL JavaScript and SSL Basic Network Extension. For example, the SSL Portal test assures SSL VPN users that StoneGate SSL VPN will work correctly as a front end for a typical corporate portal application, and the SSL Exchange test assures it will work correctly as a front end for Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access (OWA).
