StoneGate IPS Inline Serial Cluster
StoneGate's built-in load balancing capabilities are available for inline IPS sensor engine starting from version 4.2.
The inline serial cluster allows security engines to balance deep
inspection work between cluster nodes in serial format.
- Scale up the deep inspection performance of an inline IPS solution
- Eliminate the risk of passing through network traffic without inspection
The IPS engines can also be made highly available in the same manner as network cabling is made redundant with for example, an Etherchannel or spanning tree. This is also possible together with the serial cluster.
